How do you feed??

Whole, long and thing or short and fat ??

Told you it was a silly question!!!

But everyone on my yard seems to feed them differently - is there a 'correct' way??

Long and thin.

I was always taught that short and fat is the perfect way to cause a horse to choke. No idea how correct that is.

Preferably in large quantities! Whole carrots are best for contemplative chewing, and long-and-thin is good for hoovering up quickly for a sugar rush. I don't mind short-and-fat either, but got told it's not good for me...

in whatever shape, keep 'em coming!!

Whole, sliced, or, don't laugh, grated for fussy feeders.

Mind, I don't feed them at all now, none of my horses will touch them and I was put off by having a horse that was violently allergic to them.

i feed my lot carrots most days and one is only 32in minnie shettie and he does not have a problem , but a friend of mine as a very greedy horse and she slices hers down the middle incase she swallows them before they have been chewed up enough.
