Something I've noticed over the last few weeks is that Buddy walks out to the field with his head quite low, not touching the floor low but his chin is probably in line with his knees - I don't think it's always been this low but I am racking my brains to remember. I haven't ridden for a bit as trying to do in hand walking with him since his navicular diagnosis so don't know if it would be the same if he was in ridden work but just not sure it's normal for him to be walking with his head as low as it is. Am I overthinking or should I be giving the vet a call? She's back out in 2 weeks anyway but wondered if I should bring it forward. In hand it isn't as low but I walk him out in a bridle and make him march along so not sure if this is just because he is mooching along to the field, either way, it can't be good for his feet surely? The physio is due in a couple of weeks too.
