You mean a continental collar? A thing like a vicars dog collar that goes round a stock shirt collar??

They are pretty common in SJ, in fact I bet as many people wear them as wear stocks or ties, if not more. I doubt you would run into problems wearing one for unaffiliated dressage either but a proper stock or tie looks smarter.

You must get a tie for showing though, and a stock for hunting.

Yeah I won't be doing any showing... Would be too much of a disaster!!

Ok so I'll be good to go with my
Shirt, black jacket, cream jods and black boots?!

I will get a stock soon, just as long as I'm ok with my shirt in the mean time :)

sounds fine, just don't forget your light coloured gloves for dressage.

Ooh I like the riding stock exchange stocks. I have a couple myself.

That one looks fine to me.

I have a cream one, which i wear with my navy jacket and a mustard spotty one i wear with my tweed for dressage. Much prefer wearing my navy jacket but the tweed one is really thick so good for winter dressage!

Yep. With a black jacket you normally go for a white or cream stock, many have a discrete spot or stripe. My only concern with that one is that colour wise it might look a bit dirty, so I'd go for white - but that is purely personal taste. I'd also suggest a shaped to tie one rather than ready tied, they look much nicer and aren't that hard to tie. I can do a stock, but not a tie :o
