A while ago when my horse cut himself badly on his shoulder our vet said he wasnt able to stitch it but gave us some silver spray which acted like a barrier,it was metalic and medicated but cant remember what it was called,I used it on various animals with wounds, can anyone tell me what it was called and can I only get it from a vet?

I think you mean Aluspray by Vetoquinol?
works very well for cuts, but can dry them out too much, so we use it to seal then use cream when it has. Think our last can came from Amazon as the vet was expensive.

Thankyou, just couldnt remember the name, have ordered some now,its really good stuff,it works well on our lambs and sheep which have fly strike too!

I have been using white lotion which is zinc based which seems to assist keeping wound clean. I tried Manuka honey which seems to be great. As long as you get the active 10 honey, I put it on if we want to take for light exercise and stops any bleeding and seems to seal the wound well
