Can you buy anything that's adjustable like a wintec (but not a wintec as they kill my back)? What are the thorowgood with fish like? (and can you get them in brown?) do they adjust much?

Katy, Caledonian do adjustable ones, these have a large soft seat - and u can get one on Ebay for about £100. I had one for Beau and its was ok'd by a saddler and back person. I onyl sold it as it was an 18" and I lost weight so it was too big. But it was like riding on a chair!!

I have a Wintec, and my OHs horse has a Kes, and the Kes is like sitting on a plank of wood IMO! Just no give or comfort to your backside at all!

I have just seen in an Equestrian trade magazine that Thorowgood are bringing out an adjustable gullet saddle again, it looks as if it will be similar to the Wintec, ie take out the front gullet and replace with bigger or smaller. May be worth you waiting until your local saddlers has it in stock.

Thats handy feedback on the KES, thanks. Local back person is promoting them but if they are that hard I think I will stick with my Saddle Co one!
