Well I've finally placed an order after umming and ahhing for about a year!! Forrest had better eat the stuff now! Should get it by the end of the week so can start weaning him onto it at the weekend. Was interested to see that you can exercise directly after feeding and can feed directly after exercising which will be handy. No matter what I feed I just can't seem to get his weight up so I'm hoping this will work as well as maybe chilling him out!

I've gone for the eclipse recovery to use if/when he has the kissing spine op, does anyone have any experiences of using this? Hoping it's not a waste of money, I like the sound of it and want to aid Forrest in everyway possible.

I use their Lucie nuts and Non mollassed beet. I have a 18 year old TB that used to be lean in winter - hasnt been for the past 3 years since I've used it though.
The TB wouldnt touch the Total Eclipse stuff as it smelled quite fishy (she throws her bucket across the stable if you put any cod liver oil on her feed though) but the other one found it ok

Mine all love total eclipse, dont agree with the fishy - I can just smell the seaweed and linseed.

I also use their beet and lucy nuts along with ruff stuff. My older tb X would always loose weight in the winter but would go bonkers with most feeds. SS suits her very well.

Good luck with your change - just bear in mind that if you horse has been used to processed or mollassed feeds it may be a bit like weaning a child of sweets.

Thanks guys

I'm not sure how similar the Total Eclipse is to the Eclipse Recovery but I'm hoping he'll eat it ok, he's been on seaweed in the past and gobbled that up!

Hopefully the change won't be too tough, he's on a very low sugar high fibre diet at the moment so there shouldn't be to many odd looks from him in a "what....you expect me to eat this?" sort of way

We're another user of Simple System feeds.
Luckily my TB mare was already on this before she smashed her jaw and shattered her front teeth last year, so her maintaining her excellent condition after surgery to remove the front part of her jaw was more surprising to the vets than it was to us, lol!
It works out cheaper than some of the more widely advertised 'mainstream' brands, too - always a bonus!
I'm sure that if our experience is anything to go by, your horse will do well on it.
