Simply Horseboxes and Emslie Equine

Hi All!

I wondered if anyone knew anything about the two companies above and the quality of work, etc.?

Simply Horseboxes is based in Surrey and Emslie Equine in Essex.

I have seen two different 3.5 tonne lorries for sale which have been made by them but haven't been able to find much out about them.

I don't like to gamble on not knowing much when it comes to a purchase on such a big item!

I briefly saw an old thread on Simply Horseboxes but as a bit of time has passed, wondered if more was known now.

I looked at Emslie doing a new build for me a few years ago.
Decided to go elsewhere, but it all seemed ok build wise.

The Surrey one appears to be under 5 miles from me. Whilst I've heard of the owner way back when I taught at PC, I didn't know she now does horseboxes. Website looks sound and has lots of info, though oddly there are no weights listed for unladen boxes. This is something I always ask and would want proof of before taking ownership.
Not seen any locally, but I've been a bit hermit like this winter. Happy to go with you OP, to look if you like?

I can't see much different, but ask for legit reviews from recent sales.

I’ve got an Emslie 3.5 tonne, had it for getting on for 2 years now. I love it, and have had no issues with it. It was custom built for the previous owner.
