Just wondered if anyone if anyone had heard of/used this practice. A friend is moving to the area and was recommended these guys. She's asked me (with my connections ;)) to have a little dig but I don't personally know them.

PM if preferred.

Sorry never used them or heard bad reports, but I'm a bit further north and our vets are based in Hexham *thought it might bump the thread tho* :)

Paul is the best vet in the area by a country mile IMO. He doesnt do mine any more because we moved but I still sometimes ring him if I think current vet is doing something I don't like. Can't rate him highly enough.

^^^^ that...the mans a hero :D

Nice to know thanks, haven't had anything negative by PM and had good reports from other sources so I'll tell her to go ahead :)

Excellent. It is owned and run by Paul Proctor who used to be one of the partners at what is now called Bearl Equine Clinic in Stocksfield (near Hexham). He has a vast amount of experience, but anything requiring specialist surgery or treatment (MRI's etc.), I am guessing he would refer to Bearl.

IMHO, he is THE BEST VET!! I always use him, apart from once when I used a girl who was coming to yard for another horse. He really cares for the animals. I've had vets who can't remember your animals names/info and will refer to them as 'the black pony' or the 'big cob' or not remember them at all, but he always seems to remember all the horses on the farm by name, and most info about them. I definately reccomend him :D
