In regards to arena polo, are there actually any rules that stipulate that a pony change must occur between chukkas?
I understand the need for the professionals to change pony every chukka as they're galloping up and down a 300 yard field for 7 minutes, but surely a fit thoroughbred could play consecutive chukkas in arena polo, especially low goal where the pace is normally always at a slow canter.
Thanks
