Sir Henry Cooper has died.......

I caught the tail end of this on the radio but didn't know who they were talking about.
He always came across as bein a real nice guy.

RIP Henry :(.

Sir Henry's passing has really saddened me. He was such a legend and overall nice guy. When I was still in Jersey I remember passing him early one sunday morning after doing the horses. It was that feeling of, I know him, who the hell is he. So, like a numpty I waved, he gave me a big smile and a wave back! As soon as he did I recognised him and felt like such a pratt, but loved him ever since.

He was also a friend of my friend's family since the year dot, and he said that even after his twin brother had just passed away he still made the effort to fly over for my friend's Grandfather's funeral.

:(

My mum used to drink with him and his brother when she was young, she said he was a really nice man, he married a ''tiny woman'' who worked in an Italian restaurant and loved her to bits. She died 2yrs ago and it sounds like he lost the light in his life then, R.I.P. Henry.. men of his character and standards are a rarity.

For me his lasting memorial will be the smell of young lads!! When I was young everyone emitted a sort of universal pong - Henry and Brute 33 ( splash it on all over ) made it macho to smell good - well we've moved on a bit from Brute but you know what I mean.
