Sisters first hack on new big girl

Sister rode out today on the new big girl, having lost her ShirexClyde at Easter. Got the new girl 5 weeks ago, had to take shoes off after she walloped mine(my mares fault). We took them round the two commons, only short ride, but passed mares and foals, stopped up the road to speak to next door neighbour in her car as she was just coming home, a wedding party at the hotel (complete with screaming kids!) Took the lead when the Appy took exception at the new big stones (don't ask) Passed by two motor bikes and apart from being a little tense no problem, came back through the hamlet, with every neighbour in their garden all pleased to see her and asking after her health and behaviour. She has manners to burn, behaved like an angel, stood by our new mounting block for sister to get on and near to it for her to get off (not actually close enough for sister to get off onto it, but we can work on that)

Really pleased for you and your sister. It's always hard to find another horse after losing one. Sounds like you have found a treasure - and your neighbours all sound lovely too. Hope you have loads more happy hacks with her.

And the ridiculous Appy has learnt to give her a bit of respect, which can only be a good thing

I should realy shouldn't I, the only thing is a kind person on here put it together for me last time. I could not sort it out for myself, so I may have to ask the kind soul if they would please do me a favour and add her pic.

Okay, I have just turned into a squealing nine year old. I <3 dark manes and tails on very light horses, and I <3 dapples. You have just shown me perfection with four legs.

Looks like a film star with manners to burn, she even, on her first hack out, ignored the appy walking backwards into her and then gave the Appy (who has lived here for 3 years) a lead past the very scarey stones and a car with a threateningly shiney sindscreen that was parked near by
