Sitting Down in lorry

How the hell did my horse manage to do this? And how can I stop him doing it again?

It was stationary. I left him for ten minutes - in that space of time he had kicked the partition out of place, reared (there was a dent in the roof) and sat down.

He got up again when he saw me & was fine after about 5 mins.

Why would he do this? Silly boy.

Fly annoying and he flicked it with a leg, got in a tangle and had a bit of a hissy fit?

Was miffed that he'd been left alone and thought he'd make you feel guility forever?

Thought it more comfortable than standing up?

It could be possible that he heard others outside of the lorry and wanted to join them. My mare reared up in the trailer once and got wedged over the breast bar because she heard horses outside and wanted to get to them.

Though judging from your 9 that you got a bit later - there don't seem to be any lasting effects

PMSL - I think it was more likely that other trailers/wagons were leaving & he was alone.

He has been known to rear in his stable. So that isn't so surprising, but he's 16.3/17hh and long with it so physically should be impossible for him to sit.

Lol - no this was AFTER he got the nine - perhaps he thought he deserved a sit down...
