I have a few questions for anyone who's ever done one or knows the format, if that's alright. :)

I've decided to have a go while Beau is still within the points allowed for the 'mini' version, which starts at 90cm.
My questions are:

Is it the first fence that starts at 90cm in the first round?
Are the fences generally the same height throughout the line or do they increase? i.e. first fence 90cm, second 95cm etc...
Am I right in thinking there's a maximum of 5 rounds and that the fences decrease to four jumping efforts in later rounds?

I'm already regretting my decision to enter. ;) My instructor whacked the fences right up in my last practice session - at least we should hopefully be prepared for everything that gets thrown at us.

Thanks in advance. :)

Each of the 6 fences should be the same height - but there is no set provision for how far they go up each time. That will depend on the number of competitors getting through each time. There should be one or two strides between each fence - depending on the size of the arena and the number of fences can be dropped to 4 at the third round. Max 5 rounds. At larger competitions the final round can easily be 1.7 - 2m. You should be smaller as you are only starting at 90cm - the schedule may also say if there is a max height - there sometimes is for juniors etc.

Edited to add... sorry - this is under BS rules. An unaffilliated comp can do what they want!
