I'm thinking of buying a Rhino turnout, my horse is a 6'6" in most rugs except fal and thermatex where she's a 6'3". I've seen on a couple of sites that they reccommend getting a size up, so that would be a 6'9", for their turnouts. I haven't seen it on many sites though so I'm not sure what size to get!
Has anyone found they needed the next size up in a Rhino (or a Rambo) turnout?

My rambo and rhino's are about average sized lol. I do remember reading something about buying a bigger or a smaller size, but I can't remember what it was, not very helpful. Chex is a 6ft, but I usaully buy a 6ft3, however his rhino and rambos are 5ft9, they're a little small, but not really bad.

I would get a size larger personally. My boy was a 6" when I got him, so got a 6'3 TO, which is now a tad too small, as he is a 6'3 in normal rugs. Still fits and doesnt rub, but would like that added coverage...

Fab rugs though.

Mine is 17 hands boy he got 6'3 thermatex and 6'3 rhino rug with chest extender (both rug handed down from 16 hand 6 ft mare) When i got my boy all rugs were too small but the rhino stable just about fit him but got chest extender which fits him perfect so he's a 6'6 horse but all his turnouts are 6'9 cos he loves rolling and likes the feel of freedom in his rugs... turnouts are tad bit long but fits well. He got Rambo duo, Amgio summer TO, Rhino stable with chest extender.

My boy is a good 6' 6 but 6' 3 in thermatex. I have the Rambo which I thought was 'snug' in a 6' 6 so I ordered a 6' 9 in a Rhino. Its a bit roomy and I think he could have got away with a 6' 6 especially once it settles as its all loverly and 'puffy' now. Id say they are slightly small as a 6' 9 would drown him usually.

Gin is a 6' in all her rugs and her rambo is also a 6'. They do recomend that you buy a size bigger but all the horses I have known with a rambo or a rhino have had the same size and it fits them well, so no need for a bigger size.

I have a Rhino combo for my mare, she is normally a 6ft, her 6ft weatherbeetas fit fine but the 6ft Rhino could of done with being a bit longer in the body and neck so I'd say if buying a Rhino go a size up, I wish I had!

My horse is inbetween 6 and 6'3 and i got him 6' 3 in rambo and rhino turnout rugs although i think that there stable rugs come up a tad bit bigger. Meaning i would probably only need a 6 foot in that. Good luck

I think the older ones (approx 4 years ago) came up about right and a little generous but over the past few years they've come up a tad smaller. My boy is a 5ft 9" and his really old rhino is a 5ft 6 and fits, he also has a rambo in 5ft 9 and an amigo in 5ft 9 and they are a few years old and both are more on the small size than big. My other pony is a 5ft 3 and he has to have a 5ft 6 amigo as the 5ft 3 is far smaller.

Stange all my Rambo and Rhino are 6'6" and fit perfectly - The orginal is about 6 years old now, but have just brought a new Supreme and don't find it skimpy at all. The only rug that I had to go samller with was my thermatex (6'3") - I also have some Mastas and Weatherbeeta (all 6'6").
