I want to get my pony a hi viz exercise sheet.

I was alarmed yesterday when I left my yard and it was almost dark, I pulled out onto the road and came straight across 2 horses and riders. Both had a hi viz jacket and one horse had hi viz leg wraps but nothing else. I was literally on top of them before I saw them. I know where they are from and had a further 2 miles to ride up a windy 60mph road and I worried about them the whole way home.

So I already have a jacket, hat band, arm and leg straps for me. Pony has hi viz bands on his reins and legs, but I think a bright yellow hi viz sheet will work a treat! Ihave no intention of riding on the dark, but you never know when you may get caught out in failing light. He is a Haflinger and takes a 6ft rug. Are they sized likes rugs? Any help or advice is much appreciated! x

I love my high viz sheet :D

They are not sized like rugs - i think you take 2ft off if i am remembering correctly. My 5'0" fits my 16.2 TB who takes a 6'9" rug.

Does that make sense? My maths is awful!

It depends on brand... My 16.1hh TB takes 6'3'' and has a Masta exercise sheet in size medium, for example.
Some other brands are in sizes equivalent to normal rugs, some different. Mind boggles, really.

I have seen the parsons rumps. Look very strange! Maybe Ill look into one of them. I'm assuming hi viz sheets have a fillet string to stop it flapping? x
