Hi all,

Want to get my loan mare an exercise sheep for the up and coming winter. However im not to sure on sizing i have never been rug shopping or exercise sheet shopping before, (never had the need to! shocking i know!) i looked for her rug sizing on the rugs but its all worn away adn ic cant make it out! she is a 13.2 welsh mountain pony (she has quite a belly on her!) any ideas what size she will need or how to measure her up!?
Thank you:D

Measure from the mid of her chest ( where the buckles would be ) to her hind quarters, this should give you a general idea of the size you need, usually in feet & inches for a 13.2 you would probably need approx 5'6" rug, sizes go up in 3"., However different makes of rug do come up in different fits around the neck. You may have to just try one for fit, if you do this pop a bed sheet under it so that it doesn't get dirty & you could change it if necessary

I love the wrap around fleece exercise sheets/rugs.

Equestrian clearance has some lovely striped ones. I would get her a pony size or small size, approx 4ft (48 inches) to 4ft3 (51 inches).

A hi-viz one with fleece lining would be another option. :)
