I am looking to buy one of these for my 16.2hh TB on the net. She is a 6.6ft in fal rugs but I have heard that the rambo wug comes up small? Is this correct? Would I need a 6.9ft? Thanks!

I wouldn't of said it comes up small, my horse takes 6ft for everything including the rambo wug. Other makes I have are mark todd and masta if any comparison, never used a fal so no help there. Maybe it depends on type of horse, mine is a TB type shape, maybe people who said they come up small had warmblood types? Maybe make sure it is somewhere you can return if you are not sure!

I've got a few Rambos and they all were spot on size wise.
They do however blow off horses in windy weather so beware...my poor girlies have been nude a few times when they really needed not to be

My horse is wide everywhere

and Horseware fits her really, really well. Maiden is a 6'6" in Weatherbeeta rugs (I consider Weatherbeeta to be fairly "standard" sizing). She takes a 6'3" in Fal ("they" say that you should get a size down in Fal) and a 6'9" in Horseware ("they" also say you should go a size up in Horseware). I would definately go for the 6'9", it will probably be ok as yours is a TB (whereas my ID would need two sizes up as she's so wide!).

I use 6'6" in ordinary and in rambo wug and find they fit fine.
i haven't ever had a problem with them blowing off - I think you just need to make sure that the rug belly straps are snug enough to hold the rug.

No, I and a lot of people I know have had problems with the rugs blowing off over their heads, all straps/fastenings intact. I know a few people who tried sewing leg straps onto them for this reason but it didn't work well.
Perhaps weather differs in different parts of the UK?

My new Rhino Wug (same thing) arrived yesterday after being on order for a month. My mare has always been in a 6'3" and this new rug only fits where it touches. The tail fillet was too small so I had to use an old leg strap. The surcingles are at their longest point. Pretty disappointed really, and the colour, Urghh!

i only have rambos she is a 6'6 in everyting and quite wide .I havnt noticed them coming up small and seems ok around the front .Dont know how but she managed to get out of the rambo plus with all the straps done up securely with no rips done to the rug

I never had any problems with them blowing off, but I did find them tight on my two, especially around the shoulders I would go for a size bigger. When I got mine cleaned and reproofed they shrunk considerably, ended up having to flog them on ebay. Have weatherbeeta's now and I find them a much better fit for my warmbloods and cheaper. Having just slated them though I did find they kept my horses really warm and never leaked or ripped.
