There are a number of British riders at the Maastricht CSI 4* including John Whitaker, Robert Smith, Nick Skelton, Tim Gredley, Ben Maher, Geoff Luckett, Henry Turrell, Joel Parkinson and Hannah Paul. James Davenport, Chris Frazer and Richard Beecroft are in Odense. Results from both shows ar at scg-nl.nl

All look to have done well, Ellen Whitaker especially looks to have had a good show, being placed in every class so far

The KL website did eventually come to life yesterday. Hope their good form will continue in the GP.

is it me or did Markus Fuchs win EVERY class he entered!!!!!! now that is what you call consistency!

Almost a clean sweep but not quite: he was only 3rd in this morning's speed class! Remarkable performance from a veteran (at 52 the same age as John Whitaker & Geoff Billington), who I think is an outstanding example of someone who is not the most naturally talented rider working hard and achieving great results. Currently stands 3rd in the World Rankings.

Not a clue on currency conversions but he must be coming away from that show with a fair bit of prize money!

As it happens I've just checked the currency conversion (at www.xe.com) and the GP win alone was worth £50,657. Ellen's 2nd place was worth £31,841.

not bad for a few minutes work!! and when you think the winner at badminton only gets about 30,000 it makes you realise where the money is! I like markus fuchs tho, i think he is a real horseman.

One additional event: Neeroeteren (Belgium) had a Junior, Pony & Children on horses show from 23rd to 25th. Claire Bailey was in Pony & Junior classes, and Florence Bellm in Junior.
