SJ Trainer Leicestershire

Hi all,

I am looking for a show jumping trainer in the Leicestershire area. I am based in Loughborough and don`t want to travel much more than 30 – 45 mins.

Can anyone advise on a trainer – it needs to be someone who is show jumping specific. I know my BS coaches is Michael Jones but he is about 1 ½ hours away 

I've not been to any of them but have seen them around and seem to get good results

I know that John Steeles is rated highly. He is Midland Equine (previously mentioned by another poster) and is based at Thorpe Satchville, but does a lot of sessions at Vale View.

Cannot recommend Lionel highly enough! He is an absolute legend, and instills confidence and belief in any level of rider.

Caroline Moore is meant to be good. She does clinics at Vale View Equestrian Centre.

John Steels is good, though worth going to him at home...

Lucy Turner is based in Long Clawson, and does a fair bit of teaching I believe. Also Tim Brown, but he maybe a bit far from you...

I would also recommend John Steels at Vale View, very very good training for show jumping. I'm also based in Loughborough and I go to him weekly at the moment, I've found him extremely helpful on the flat and over fences...

Another one i thought of is Paddy McMahon who i think is somewhere around leicestershire but not 100% where, also not sure if he has his own place or not but i know he travels as been to ours a few times

Just had a thought - Di Lampard?

I know that she used to teach. She's out towards Oakham, but apparently an excellent instructor as well as rider!
