I love watching this video but I am a very green jumper - what do more established riders think of this girl?

ETA: I did wonder if the high jinx was uncomfortable but he stops doing it after a while so considered it was just high spirits?

I think he is a fabulous horse and she's obviously a talented rider. Would love a horse like that!

I wonder after just reading Mrs M's post in CR, if this is the kind of position she is thinking about as ideal? To me I think she looks so good because through it all her lower body doesn't seem to move whatsoever and she also seems quite quiet and never like she's busting a gut (good horse helps that maybe?)

I agree i think she is a lovely quiet rider.

She has very still hands and just seems to keep the moter running and that is all.

The high jinks at the beginning tell me the horse loves his job and gets excited when he is jumping is a positie not a negative.

Think its a combination of good horse and rider would love to be able to stay so quiet myself and not panic and ruin it!

Lol, along those lines yes

. The riders I was watching yesterday were sliding about in the saddle, legs and thighs away from the saddle. This woman, whoever she may be, has a wonderfully quiet lower leg and whilst has the usual showjumper bounce in the canter, looks connected and steady at all times. In my limited experience/knowledge she isn't 'text book perfect', but she is bl00dy good

. William W occasionally moves his lower leg back, and given the height of the jumps I'm not surprised lol, but when he's not jumping, he's steady in the saddle. Geoff B, whilst having a different style (and I love Geoff B

), has the same connection.

Just my contemplations (and remember, I have a wobbly head
