Has anyone tried these, I bought myself a pair and they have just arrived! They feel so comfy, since I had been suffering with my mcl tear on left leg , overcompensating on my right has now hurt my foot and I have perineal tendonitis , its never ending…

Bouncy thick soles have all sorts of downsides for us, I'm a big barefoot shoes fan. As with horses not something to be rushed into, but it's a good thing to consider as part of a biomechanics approach, as you're finding we tend to compensate and it just runs through our bodies. Best to get help from someone like Rider Reboot or another off-horse biomechs specialist and try and fix the problem. I'm now mostly in barefoot shoes but occasionally get challenges so do swap back into normal shoes, you can guarantee if I wear my squishy trainers or Fit Flops I feel 10 times worse pretty quickly.

I've had loads of issues with shoes and although I don't have Sketchers I have these bad boys that my lovely partner bought for himself and I fell in love with so he gave to me, they are a wide size 9.5 (well I am 5ft 10"). I have an insert which helps with the plantar fascitiis and the knee locking issue that I have developed from boot camp.

I've just been for a walk to the shops (I love site breaktimes:D) and its like walking on air.

You will have to let me know how you get on with yours BB as its something I might look at. I'm lucky that they don't really mind what footwear I wear for work, I'm so glad I don't have to wear those flipping black court heels anymore.

I have osteo arthritis in my ankle. My sketchers are a must have for work as I spend 10hrs on my feet walking around. They are so comfortable and last as well. Think my current pair have been used for 10 months now. (I do about 20,000 steps a night at work). Will be buying a new pair this weekend ?

Following, keep us updated how you get on with them, I just got some new balance trainers (I don't run ? but I walk with a limp) which are ok, but probably could do better.
What is the sizing like, I'm 6.5 left foot, 7 right foot

I have wide feet, they do a wider fit but mainly they are more medium fit, I found that I needed to go up half a size in trainers. I have found them to be super comfy and supportive. The first pair of Bob's slippers relaxed fit were perfect going down a size, lovely and warm, good soles (tried these on in store) the 2nd pair (the same ordered on line) are a bit snug, so I ordered another pair up a whole size are perfect. So they can sometimes be a bit of a conundrum. If you are able to go try on till you have worked out the sizing for the different styles I would, especially with wide feet and if you need a deep wide toe box.

I suppose price comes into it too. I know those balance shoes are very expensive. As are Sketchers although I've always wanted a pair.

Whereas the ones in reply 9 were only £22.00 and they are safety trainers too so I could wear them around the yard. Interesting video SBloom. Food for thought.

As well as getting them on the Sketchers website I have bought them from Pavers website. If you aren't worried about colour (I use mine for dog walking mainly) then there are some bargains to be had in their sale area.

Yes Mine are well worn now to the point of knackered as I have collapse arches due to horse injury and planter facilitis. I buy mine from https://www.footway.com/
