Skin flakes on legs?

Looks like Mallenders/ Sallenders ( over production of skin cells) which is common on cobs. Use an emollient cream on it. Farriers M&S cream is very good.

I’ve had this on both my warmbloods a sort of greasy hair mostly on the the hind legs and when you rub it the hair comes off in greasy clumps. I notice it most after winter before I’ve been able to give them a good bath. I’ve used anti-dandruff shampoo and even tried baby cradle cap shampoo and a determined scrub. It’s quite hard to get rid of but harmless I think. It’s only when I’m doing showing that I particularly bother with it.

Bot fly eggs are yellow.

Possibly Pastern dermatitis. I’ve tried several shampoos on my horse. Best results from the red medical xl shampoo in savers/home bargains. Only other thing that’s shifted it was hydra Midas horse shampoo.
