Yesterday my brother visited bringing his goldie with him. Hence a mad playtime between the retriever and my lurcher. All good natured stuff - let's face it we all like to see our dogs play nicely.Come the evening when everyone had gone home and the pup eventually woke up he started licking his paws. Closer inspection reveals that he has rubbed - for want of a better description - some of his pad off. It's a bit pink and looks a bit sore but nothing major at present to worry about
Now I am all for leaving well alone as he is not chomping on it all the time, he's not lame ect
However hubby thinks I should put some cream on it. My view on this, is that it will encourage him to lick it more.
Obviously if the condition changes he will be off to the vets

Opinions please
cream or no cream ?

He was lame this morning :(
So we have been to the vets and now we have anti inflammatories and antibiotics. How quickly something minor can turn yucky.
He is not impressed with the bucket he has to wear on his head.
