Anyone feed it? Is it any good? Is it as good nutritionally as James Wellbeloved??

Got a sample at a dog show today and Zak loves it

I feed Skinners Field & Trial Duck & Rice. Only used James Wellbeloved once many years ago and didn't suit my dogs then so can't compare. Skinners keeps my 3 GSDs (1 year, nearly 9 yrs and 11 yrs) looking very well and I am happy with it. I feed far less than the recommended amount though, if I gave them that much they would be waddling

Thanks for that..... I think he should be on about 100g a day.... but he is a bit of a porker... If I feed him much less he will think he is being starved

Better price than the JWB too

According to the feeding instructions on the Skinners bag it is 100g (1 mug) per 8kg bodyweight per day. Mine weight approx 30 kg each, Evie the youngster is on 2.5 mugs a day, she is constantly on the go and is about the right weight imo. The 2 older ones are less active( but still have plenty of exercise) and are on about 1.5 mugs a day. So I am feeding them the recommended amount for dogs of 20 kg and 12 kg respectively

I feed Skinners too (same stuff as MM) and my greyhounds seem to be doing OK on it

They are roughly 20kg I think, and have 2 small mugs each morning and 3 small mugs each evening? Sounds like I am feeding them loads, but they arent in the least bit fat

ETA - actually that has made me wonder! I will weigh a mug full next time I feed them - would do it now, but they are both asleep and I am SO enjoying the peace and quiet

I feed Skinners Field and Trial to my whippets, one of whom is a fussy eater, and they love it.

It is not as expensive as James Wellbeloved but the nutritional content is about right for a 'quality' dog food.

I was told it was cheaper because it is taxed differently due to being marketted to 'working dogs'. Could be nonsense though.
