Skinny dogs - coat question

At what outside temperature can my IG go out without his coat on?

So far, with it being cold/wet, or both, he has always had his coat on. Today the outside temp is 8C and I'm wondering if he'll be ok naked later. He still had it on this morning.

He does shake when he is out but I don't think it's because he is cold, it's more nervousness/excitement.

Any guidance much appreciated .

My very skinny whippet lurcher is out about with his coat today and he's a wimp!!! He had a rain coat on this morning..but it was 6am and very cold!! I've stopped putting his fleece on (honestly that dog has more clothes than me!!) in the house over the weekend and he's wearing coats just for walks if they are on on lead, once off lead I take his coat off.

I took him out naked but took his coat for when we stopped at school. Once he was walking again, I took it off.

He survived
