Well, this is the week my sister and I started to realise that we weren't just dilusional in seeing an improvement and actually were doing something right. :)

So 2 weeks of food a lot of wormer later (ewww is all I can say!) here's the pics.

Day 1 for anyone who didn't see him then.

This pony is just wonderful! :D We are utterly in love and it's so, so nice to see him have the energy to act like a real horse!

That is such a huge difference, you've done a great job! You wouldn't know it was the same pony.

He's going to look lovely too when he's filled out a bit more.

He's really coming on quick. Few more months and he'll be good as new bless him.

I can sympathise with the copious amount of wormer...we had that with a baby of ours. EW is all I can say about that.
Vitamin B12 injections are always good we've found too, for any lacking :)

Congrats with him and good luck in the future!

Oh well done! Posts like this make me realise that there are lots of lovely caring people out there. His story is so inspiring, wasn't he lucky to find you!! He looks so happy if he could smile he would have one stuck on all the time I think! How his mood and demeanour have improved looking at those pictures , you should be truly proud of sticking your neck out and helping him! Don't ever cut the frizzy mane though haha :-)

oh wow hes looking tonne better well done you :)

he looks so much like my old mare brings a tear to my eye to see him in the skinny pics

what an amazing thing ur doing :) keep us all posted

xx

Fantastic to see such an improvement well done looks like he is having a ball now in his new home with you guys... cannot wait to see him to full health once again and enjoying himself some more... those pics he certainly looks like it lol :D :D :D

It is so nice to see him enjoying himself he will look a different horse come the end of the summer, seeing this you must realise you did the right thing by removing him from his past home.

I hope his old owner sees this and is truly ashamed.

Wow -such a difference in just two weeks, he looks so much happier let alone healthier. As someone else asked, what have you been feeding?
