Yesterday we said goodbye to Queen Lily. Our smallest dog with a huge personality. From a Battersea stray who was very poorly with no hair and a wrecked immune system from untreated Demodex mange, to a ruff, tuff, country girl. She had the best 15 years with us being nanny to all our dogs, family dogs and the occasional foster. Loved by all who met her. She was getting very wobbly, coupled with heart and digestive problems (not surprising at nearly 16 years old, 112 in human years she was around 1 year when we adopted her). We made the difficult decision to free her from pain. It very quiet here, despite 4 other dogs, without her snuffling and snoring. Night night Lily, thank you for being you xx

Oh Thistle, so sorry but what a wonderful life she had once she found you…and a long one! You can’t feel sorry for her but a huge hole in your lives without her. It makes no difference how many others you have, they are all individual.
glad you were able to keep her happy for so long and then give the ultimate last kindness. Sending love xx
