Why would people do this?
Let's hope there isn't too much damage and no livestock is caught up (there are sheep on the mountain)

omg thats awful!! and we have duke of ed next week

ive climed all over the mournes for duke of ed silver, and cant believe that someone would do this!

it looks to be along the wall that is on all of the mountains connecting them.

there are lots of duke of ed groups out on the mournes at this tume of the year - hope they all got down safely.

Don't think there's any more news on it yet, it's apparently gorse, it would be awful if it damaged the wall.
