Hey, i noticed ebs has been coughing a bit shes on hayledge which is a bit seedy at the moment but its not dusty and she shes stayed for 2 weeks cause of pants weather so i was just wondering could be the straw, getting a bit dusty being in for 2 weeks? or i was told maybe it could be the weather changing alot, together she seems fine, ears up shinny, eating etc ill be keeping a eye on her for the next few weeks and see how she goes but any other suggestions or what it could be and to try get rid of it?
thank you :)

could quite possibly be from being indoors for a couple of weeks. My mare is a bit sensitive to dust and gets like this too. Try and keep her out as much as possible and garlic supplement is good for their respiratory system. Make sure you read the label though as too much can cause problems. If she continues or gets worse after this i would call the vet -good luck ;)

I would try to get her out as much as possible and give her some manuka honey (most will take it straight from a spoon, but be careful not to let her take the spoon :D) to soothe her throat :)

my boy gets a dry cough if he is kept in for too long, the straw dust gtes up his nose. Honey is fab for it also, but i got mine a soothing cough syrup from saddlery v cheap and like treacle, does the trick. I feed garlic all year as good for airways. Get her out as much as possible. if it doesnt go after giving her some stuff to soothe then get vet but i wouldnt worry unless she starts looking off in herslef or it affects her work. I have also been known to by a cough syrup from supermarket and add that to his feed it also seems to work but i give that more as a preventative after i have cured the worst of it.

It will be the straw - can you change her bed to shavings or paper? Just keep an eye on it - if it gets much worse you might have to do something drastic or she could get quite unwell.
