My horse has been in for a month now, they suspected a fracture to the radius so he has been cross tied for 3 weeks in a Robert Jones bandage for 2 weeks. He was untied last week and has been in the stable ever since. After several x rays it was concluded that he does not have a fracture and my vet has given me the go ahead to walk him out either in hand or under saddle.
I have walked him for a couple of days but he is a bit bonkers so I decided to ride him today. Before I got on he had a bit of a mad moment and got away from me a bit and trotted a bit of a circle. I noticed that he looked ever so slightly unlevel on the opposite leg to the injured one. It might have been a bit of bridle lameness as he was fussing about in the contact a little but if there is a slight unlevelness is this to be expected after what he has been through?
Thanks
