i apologize for postign another Berkshire tack theft post but im gettign rather paranoid

im at home today ill (my neds are at home) normally there is nobody here and i live smack bang in the middle of all these thefts, of which there have been a total of 26 reported cases.
So out of those (or any more that the police are unaware of ) does anybody knwo anythign about the people doing it ? or their vehicles?

The reason i ask is that a van and a truck (on separate occasions) have driven into the yard this morning, iv goen out to see and they have driven swifty away again without even a hello or a reason why they were there? and there woudl be no reason for them to be simply turning around as there is ample space at the begining of the path into the property

We have plenty of CCTV but im still very paranoid

Good plan. Keep a pen and paper near you so you can write down details like car reg., clothing etc. Keep all doors locked and don't approach anyone you don't know.

Probably just people getting lost - my OH used to look well dodgy. He drove a white van, had a shaved head so looked like a thug, and his Sat Nav frequently sent him down peoples driveways. Must have given a few people a bit of a fright lol.

lol, I challenge you to use Sat Nav in rural areas. You can end up anywhere! I once got directed through an Army mine training range with warnings saying "Stick to the road, explosive devices". I ended up where I was meant to be, but it was a slightly scary route...

Anyway, be alert, but try not to worry - I expect it's nothing, but doesn't hurt to be on your guard anyway

definately report to the police, they are still around in this area.....pain in the bum!!

Ireland has no second hand tack available, its like goldust, easy money for the people that want to steal it.......

Report any vehicles that you dont know immediately just to be safe.

Please let me know of the 26 yards you mention as I am the South Oxon Horsewatch Co-ordinator and even I havent heard this many! Have they been officially reported??
