My boy has nearly been barefoot a year now, but recently we have really been struggling with thrush - I don't know if it's because it's been so wet and we are on clay soil which just clags up in his feet?
Have been scrubbing with dilute iodine once or twice a week, and purple spraying the other times - it seems to go and come back again!
He has also become sore in front the past few days, he's walking fine out on the road and in the school is lovely but hacking out if he steps on anything it's like Owchie!!!! He's sore in trot on the road, just feels uncomfortable but he doesn't hesitate when you ask for trot. Could it be the thrush making him sore, spring grass, abscess?! I can't feel any heat or anything, am at a total loss - I don't really want to just put shoes on him because of this when he's been doing so well.
Please, any ideas?!
