Just been looking through my tests from yesterday and comparing them with previous ones, feeling quite pleased LOL

But one thing just confused me slightly, in prelim 13 where it says before X canter (or trot) when you are doing a 20m circle, where is the best place to do the transition? Surely anywhere before X is fine?

Just wondering because got comments saying early transition, when both times was nicely between A (or C) and X. Is it better to do it as near to X as possible?

Slightly confused here

So it does! On the dressage diagrams, diagram it shows the trans half way between A/c and X too. Perhaps judge read it wrong. Prob best to get it close to X or query with judge afterwards.

Tricky one

Hi Madhector,

Im so glad that someone else has had this happen- I thought I was going mad!! I did p13 and another test which also had a similar movement. Both time the judge (same for both) marked me down for an early transition when transistion was on a 20m circle before x. In future I will make sure that I do it near x. Annoying though coz i find it so much easier to canter in the first corner after C or A. ho hummm they dont call it stressage for nothing!! :-)

Generally in the quarter before X.

Don't ask me though...I lose stupid points everytime out because of my terrible (lack of) accuracy. At home I can pinpoint everything but my brain turns to mush everytime there is a judge around!

I know just what you mean, but mine goes as soon as the bell rings.

if it says before X then it genrally means one horses length before so in the 1/4 before any less than that then it would be just after A or C!!
Not very clear tbh for either you the rider or the judge!!!
