my 19 year old geldings urine has bein slimy and thick. it just goes like a gloopy puddle on the ground. hes had a urine test and blood tests but they cant find anything wrong with him. he also had his sheath cleaned incase that was causing it but its still the same. the vet doesnt no what it is either has anyone else come across this or knows what could be causing it??

This might sound really stupid (so please dont think i am being too dense or rude) but is it maybe his normal urine?

Horses urine is particularly thick compared to dog cat and human urine.....

or is it that it has become particularly thickened recently? If so have their been any changes to his diet? Maybe consider having his bladder ultrasounded to see if he has any bladder stones or infection which may be causing altered urine content.... or US his kidneys to identify any problems there......

Then I would go on to assess diet and fluid intake as if he is dehydrated the urine becomes thicker due to decreased fluid content rahter than increased solid content (if you get me?)
