Sling for paraphimosis?

Hello all. I have a rescue horse who has historically suffered a paraphimosis which was left untreated prior to rescue and could therefore only be partially treated by the vets. He is left with a deformity at the end of his "member" which prevents it being fully retracted into the sheath, and contorts the angle of urination which means he is soaking his back legs.

The only further surgical intervention available would be extremely invasive and despite its appearance it does not appear to cause discomfort. We use an antimicrobial cream to protect it, and are currently trying barrier creams on his legs to prevent damage.

My question (finally!) is....does anyone know if there is a mesh sling available to buy which could be used to support and redirect his tackle? I would sooner buy something purpose made if possible rather than try to make something, as I want to be confident it will be comfortable and safe.

Thank for reading.

Thanks AmyMay. I don't like the look of the bottle idea, was hoping just to buy a mesh sling to take the weight out of it for him.

Thanks tons for replying.

If you couldnt buy one, could you sew one that used the netted material for show rugs and some velcro and obviously it would have to go over his rump. We currently have a horse with a hernia from colic surgery that is wearing something similar because the abdominal walls are not strong at present.

Seems like this can be sorted by reducing the odema and bringing the foreskin back over, otherwise it will cause a tight band and blood restriction. Shame poor boy he must be in pain. Ice and bute and manual manipulation to get it back or a slit. Speak to the vet.
