Slipped hock both legs

My loan horse which I’ve had a year came with a pre existing slipped hock injury, had him vet checked he came with mechanical lameness no pain. He’s gone and slipped his other hock today has anyone had a horse with two hock injury’s and been ok to be brought back into work (light hacking and fun rides)
Getting trough 8 weeks of box rest but worrying about outcome
