I have a new lorry and the rubber matting is extremely slippery, I think it's some sort of coating that's used to get the rubber out of the mold.

My horse went down on it today, which was very scary, he's ok bless him.

I've tried washing the film off with washing up liquid but it's made no difference.

I've now covered the rubber in sand and have trod it in. I plan to keep the sand down for a while and put some dampened wood pellets over it.

Anyone else got any ideas for breaking in the new rubber?
