Is it heating and how much should you feed? Can you feed it alongside other feeds like cubes, balancer, chaff??

Bit concerned it is going to blow my mares brains out!

thanks guys

I have never had one go silly on slobbermash. I tend to feed it on its own, no chaff etc soaked at 1:1 ratio. I first came across this feed in Belgium, yard there feed it soaked with warm water and without anything else. They suggested it for one of mine that looked a bit poor after travelling, worked a treat though I do find he needs something more when he is working hard. Excellent for putting condition on and mine all look well on it, they all seem to really enjoy it too even the really fussy eaters.

Cheers Silly ;-)

Cob mare needs a bit of condition on her - how much (stubbs scoops) do you feed per day or per feed? I have to say the bag is a bit non-communicative!! Just add water and that's about it!

Havens website is not much better tbh, it goes on the lines of feed as much as your horse needs and if it gets too fat you feed too much!

My 16.1hh BWP was getting one level stubbs scoop soaked in one scoop of water twice a day with as much hay as he wanted. When he was jumping and working harder he got half a scoop of slobbermash soaked in half scoop of water plus half a scoop of Havens Green Vet. Obviously the quantity of water makes this feed quite heavy and stodgy so not sure I would want to feed more than this in one go.
