So vet booked in as this doesn’t seem to have improved despite pink powder being fed over the last few days.

It started when they were shooting next door last week - but hasn’t taken improved. Have done worm count and all the other horses in his field seem fine?

Any thoughts to discuss with vet - please and thank you !

Protexin worked when my horse got stressed being at the vet and he continued to have loose droppings when he got home, I gave the quick fix syringe then fed the powder in his feed and it slowly got better over a week, feeding charcoal can help as well but you only feed it short term, but speaking to the vet is a good idea if you are worried about it.

Mine has sloppy poo at this time of year. Not sure if I'm right, but I put it down to eating acorns. There's been a bumper crop this year and our yard doesn't fence off the trees.

They can be deadly!

The horses are in big herds so any one horse is unlikely to eat a lot, and now the ground is wet the acorns get trodden safely in. In dry years we have acorn picking sessions in the fields. I'd prefer it if the trees were fenced off, but my horse has been there 9 years and a couple of weeks of sloppy poo every autumn is the only effect. Mind you, she isn't out there 24/7.

My boy arrived like this - I didn't bother with a worm count as there are certain worms this doesn't pick up so it's always best to worm anyway.

I wormed and washed his bum everyday for a month as I had doubts from where he came from as they didn't poo pick, a month later they are much better aside from when he's anxious. :)
