What do you use? We put out large rounds when the grass gets low, and have a couple of 'Bale Buddies'. However this winter I have another field in need of a bale, and need to find something to put it in. I can't bring myself to spend near to £100 on another Bale Buddy, as it is effectively a big plastic sack. I've also seen giant haynets on eBay that go over big round bales, but they're £60..! Has anyone come across a cheaper version or an alternative? It just seems a lot for something so simple.

We have a large round hay feeder but I also have made a giant haynet by using all the old broken ones that were stuffed in corners and bigs in the far recesses of my shed and tack rooms and some baling twine. Cost me nothing at all. I put the bale in the net then drop the hay feeder around to slow them down.
