I have now owned my beautiful Smudge for 20 months and finally, now I have transport and a new instructor, I'm really starting to feel like we are making progress.

This is a picture of her when I bought her. As you can see she was very overweight and her previous owner realised she was being wasted so sold her to me when she was a very green 7 year old.

Today I took her out to do walk and trot dressage for the first time. We didn't win but she was really good, took everything in her stride and we got 61%.

This is a picture of her taken today. She looked so pretty I was so proud of her and how far she has come that I felt like a winner anyway:)

Bit of a pointless post really, but I just wanted to share.

Well done 61% I'd be ecstatic looks lovely very jealous , we tried to record our Dressage Anywhere Intro A and failed due to Weather conditions and Pony issues !!!

Wow! Is that a spotty/tobiano/coloured? Gorgeous!

Thanks :D

She is supposed to be one of these:

but she must have either some Appy or Knabstrupper breeding in her somewhere as she is quite spotty and has spotty skin on her muzzle and "lady bits". I don't really know what colour she is but Pintaloosa or Varnish Roan have been suggested to me.

I texted her old owner some pictures earlier. She texted me back saying I was always destined to have her and she was just an interim Mum, and that she couldn't have wished for a better home for her....

Come over all emotional now....

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. I think she is fab but then I am biased ;)

I've had a few disparaging comments about her in the past ( not that I listen) so it's nice to hear people say nice things.
