Small bale haylage+leics

Does anyone know of any good quality small bale haylage for sale in the Leics/Hinckley area. The last bales I bought my pony wouldnt eat as looked quite mouldy. The other,even though smelt nice was still very dry and defeats the object of not using hay as she has COPD.

My friend also wants some as her horse coughs on hay. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

You're not too far from Eurobale, and although they are larger bales, because of the quality it won't go off http://eurobale.com/haylage.html
I buy from Baillie Haylage http://www.bailliehaylage.co.uk/ but not sure how small a load they could deliver. Top notch stuff, all bales guaranteed and the horses think it's chocolate cake.

i have used the same people for years, there is a feed/farm shop in the same building as The Clothes Horse tack shop @ Syston Grange, Barkby Road. their haylage is about £6.90 a bale and they are not the really dinky bales either! its not super wet/rich, more like top quality dust extracted hay.

the other people who are very good are cook's farm shop @ Newtown Linford. bit more expensive for a slightly smaller bale but again consistant quality and not too rich.

Vale View sell their own excellent hayledge. It's normally sold as Mark Hyslop Hayledge. Really good stuff, they do two types, one higher energy than the other
