I know it sounds a bit odd but i need (or rather my mare needs) a companion pony just for the summer. We are waiting for a fab little pony whose rider is going to outgrow him soon but they want to keep him for the summer and in the meantime my mare is on her own. She is ok on her own but it's not ideal and long term it's not good for her.
Have 4 acres, big field shelter, stable, small turnout paddock, kept at home in full view of house. My only requirement is that would prefer a smaller pony and also that they don't freak if I take my mare out for hack now and again and it isn't nasty. Maybe would suit horse that needs some field rest for a while or mare in foal...My mare is very sweet and 15 yrs old herself and we live on Suffolk / Essex border.
Any ideas?
