I was picked my horses's foot today and there was a chunk of frog hanging off , so I pulled it and when I pressed the frog a clear liquid came out from a small hole at the back of the frog where it splits off. Looked just like normal water. Horse had been stood in dry stable so it was a bit strange, there was a fair bit of the stuff coming out. Wasn't sure what to do so just rinsed and disinfected it and packed a little cotton wool soaked in TCP in to the area to stop bits going in. Looks the size a nail would make, but can't say how deep it goes. Should I get it looked at? or would you just leave it, not heat or lameness etc. Just never seen water ooze out from a frog before and I can't see how water would get there from the field

Could be worth getting it checked out. Could well be an abscess but the fluid is normally quite black. There is a risk that if they stand on a nail it can go into a joint/navicular bursa, and it may have been joint fluid you were seeing. They don't go lame until the hole is closed over and the extra fluid can't go anywhere so creates heaps of pressure within the joint. This is uncommon but it's a major if it does happen!
