Anyone know if small red worm or any other worm for that matter will have drowned this winter? As we have not had any severe weather that will not have affected them but vets all seem to think we are going to have a major problem with red worm damaged horses come the spring and we need to be very vigilant with worming for it.?!

They live in the soil and come out with the grass when it grows, waiting to be eaten by the horse, just worm with pramox, you cant go wrong. There is no rsistance to pramox

Thank you for your Input. Unfortunately I can't use pramox on a lot of my horses no good for broodmares and a lot of young stock we just use other wormers and randomly do worm counts. Everything will be done with panacur 10% for four days once the weather drys up a bit and hopefully when there is eventually a sign of spring.

The prescribing info for Pramox has recently been updated - it is safe to use in broodmares and during lactation.
