I am looking after my friends horse and last night I noticed he had a small fleshy type swelling on his fore leg, right above the fetlock but to the inside. It seems to be attached to something, so my initial thought that it was a bite doesn't seem correct.
There is no wound, heat, hes sound and doesn't seem too bothered about it being touched. Its about the size of a 20p and its almost like a small windgall / haematoma. He's only 3 and not in work so it can only have occured in the field during yesterday.
This morning it was slightly harder but no bigger.
As he's doesn't seem bothered by it or lame so I have held off calling the vet.
Does anyone have any ideas ?
