Local feed merchants have it at £4.50 and the other at £4.25. That's collected.

That seems reasonable as they are having to take their cut of the selling price.
Our feed shop is £6.80 a bale collected, but that suits the owner with limited storage who can pop a bale in the boot of their car once a week on the way to the yard.

Our usual supplier ended up chopping his straw up as there was no dry window to bale it, such a waste.
That's a shame about your straw, will you use it as cattle bedding?

From the feed store wheat straw £2.70, barley straw £3. £8 delivery.

Assume this is all last year's stock so who knows what this year's price will be. Northwest.

Thanks everyone I've managed to get some off our contractor friend at £2.50 per bale delivered with the promise of a 4 pack of Thatchers to thank him!.

£22.50 for a big round bale so yeah it would be a out £2.50 a bale.

I'm heading north to the breed show next weekend and they want £10 a bale needless to say I will be getting some from a friend before I head up

Near us they have cut short as the ground is quite wet still.
