Small update from France

Well my baby is now with me and is an angel. I have given her a few days off and will start work with her tomorrow

.

Her passport which obviously arrived with her also held some nice suprises. Firstly that she arrived on her 7th birthday

and secondly her breed. I have never heard of this breed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pottok and was wondering if anyone else had?

She is a very special little mare and I am so lucky and proud.

Aren't they gorgeous? Have never heard of them, but they look soooo cute! I hope we'll see some pics of your little mare when she's settled in, and enjoy her!

Pottok (pronounce pottiok) means "small horse" in Basque language. They're a very ancient breed from the Basque Country in France. They were almost extinct at some point. Some live in the wild (the original pottok) and others are being bred now as sport poneys.
