I have a horse who has been out through a serious fetlock injury since back in april. She has surgery in july and is now out on field rest follwing her box rest. She is turned out in either equilbrium traing wraps or her mark todd type sports boots.

I want a really good pair of boots as she is coming back into work in 4 weeks time. Id like to also use them for turning her out in sometimes as the m/todd ones dont come far down the fetlock and dont give much support.

I dont care how much they cost but they must give a good level of protection and support at the fetlock.

I have just bought a pair of professionals choice SMB elite boots but they dont seem that great fit wise so was wondering if anyone has them or can reccommend me a pair of boots ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks but those offer no fetlock support at all.

The boot must fit under the fetlock and around the pastern.

anyone else got any ideas on sports medicine type boots?

I have just had a look online at those funnily enough lizziej and the premier equine ones look quite nice. How do you find the SMB's are you happy with yours?

Anyone got those?

We've used loads of different brands of thse boots over the years and find the SMB's to be the best without exception. Great fit, no rubbing and wash and wear easily. The second best we found were the Kieffer ones if that is any help.

oh didn't read op properly my mistake

good luck and hope he recovers fully soon

I have a set of professionals choice SMB and they fit fine!

Size 2 on the front and size 3 on the back!

I also bought the premier equine SMB also and I like these just as much as the PC set albeit they are a fraction of the cost!
