Benson's hoof smell when i pick them out ( there done twice a day) there's nothing unusual about his feet looks same but stinks lol is there anything i can do or anyone know how this is??

he stabled at night on shavings/rubber matting and concrete floor out in a muddy park (due to weather) but its not really muddy except at gate(which he doesn't stand at)

cant explain smell

Ive just put iodine on my boys tootsies as the were a bit wiffy today - (farrier recommends
Usually good beach ride and splash in the sea keeps his nibs feet sweet - but havent been this week.
Could be a bit of thrush developing - iodine will clear it up as it is disinfectant,.

sounds like thrush....I've just read an article about using betadine scrub and sugar to make a paste and pack all the cracks with it....worth a try

my boy has it but didn't have any smelly discharge or gunk, farrier picked it up!

A good pick out then a quick squirt of diluted hibiscrub and a scrub down the sulcuses with a stiff brush (stiff cheap washing up brushes are perfect!) does the trick. No need to rinse off either.

Hi , it is probally a touch of thrush however feet can smell "sweaty" at this time of year . I recommend using osmonds bactakil 55 once a week and twice if there are signs of thrush in the clefts of the frog . Thanks paul conway dwcf

My horse does not have anything wrong with his hooves, but when he is shod, they are a bit cheesy!

Sounds like the start of thrush, washout with hibiscrub.
